Why First Years Early Learning?
We started First Years Early Learning because we are passionate about the importance of the first years on early childhood development. The first years are such a special time, we want to be a part of it and to support children and families.
We also want our centre to feel as easy as home, so we provide free nappies, sunscreen, hats, and three nutritional meals daily. We only employ the most qualified and experienced staff including an Early Childhood Teacher who has a Bachelor of Education, and who teaches the Queensland Government certified Kindergarten Program.
Our centre is well resourced with open ended toys for inspiring creativity, interactive whiteboards and iPads for developing 21st Century skills and large outdoor play spaces to encourage experiences in the natural world and develop sustainability practices. We know how important it is to play outside so we have an outdoor fort, veggie patches, worm farms, chickens and even ducks- all to inspire outdoor play!
First Years Early Learning acknowledges all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Traditional Custodians of Country and recognises their continuing connection to land, sea, culture and community. We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners and ongoing custodians of the land on which our centre is built. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge their continuing connection to Country and ways of learning for many thousands of years. Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, and always will be.
